Femkuber has recently finalised a lateral torsional buckling study of a truss frame for a temporary building (tent). The tent is composed of a load carrying truss frame made from hot-dipped galvanised steel and a technical fabric protecting the inside from the environment.
The work was performed as a combination of modal analyses to establish the most likely buckling shape and a non-linear load capacity analysis including initial deformation shapes based on modal analysis. All calculations are in line with DNVGL-RP-C208 for determination of structural capacity by Non-linear FE analysis Methods.
